Join us as we examine our Founding Fathers intent in drafting the Constitution of the United States of America. Choose between Tuesdays, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. or Wednesdays, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. (Click the date for session detail)
Week 1 - Sept. 20 / 21
Why did 13 states who disliked and distrusted each other come together to design a constitution? An examination of the world events that birthed the Constitution.
Week 2 - Sept. 27 / 28
What specific authority did the original founders delegate to the federal government?
Week 3 - Oct. 4 / 5
The founding fathers absolutely and specifically forbade the federal government from exercising certain powers over the individual states and their citizens.
Week 4 - Oct. 11 / 12
Recognizing the inherent powers in greed for power, the drafters of the Constitution designed it to protect the people against governmental overreach.
Week 5 - Oct. 18 / 19
Our Republic form of government will only function and survive if every generation remains informed and involved. How are we doing? What are we teaching our children?
